This molten-metal alloy project was an R&D effort that utilized a wide variety of controls components to create a product within an extremely tight tolerance. An Allen-Bradley ControlLogix L81ES safety processor was used with a combination of multiple Point I/O and Compact I/O chassis, Stratix Ethernet switches, Ethernet/IP PowerFlex 525 VFDs, Ethernet/IP Kinetix 5700 Servos, Ethernet/IP safety gates, Keyence Ethernet/IP sensors, Keyence Vision Cameras, Numatics Ethernet/IP solenoid manifold, and a Wonderware System Platform SCADA system.
